 Naseej Academy Participates in First Conference of Bahraini Librarians

Naseej Academy participated in Bahrain's first conference aimed at librarians, held at the Kingdom's Issa Cultural Centre on Thursday, 18 April 2019. Entitled "The Role of Libraries in Supporting the Vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain 2030", the conference was a cooperative venture under a memorandum of understanding signed between Naseej Academy and Issa Cultural Centre.

More than 140 academics and researchers from within and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain attended the conference, where 12 research papers were presented both in Arabic and English.

Naseej Academy presented a research paper entitled "How to Formulate a Strategic Vision for Libraries within the Vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain 2030", as well as participating in the conference exhibition.

At the conclusion of the conference, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Executive Director of Issa Cultural Centre, and Dr. Mansour Sarhan, Director of the National Library of Bahrain, expressed their appreciation to Naseej Academy for awarding the prize for the best research paper presented at the conference.

They also honored Prof. Dr. Abdullah Metwally, whose research paper was awarded the Isa Cultural Centre shield and who received a certificate of appreciation for his presentation at the conference.
