Workshop Overview

In the current era, libraries have to contend with economic turbulence, budget constraints and technology developments, while continuing to meet users’ needs for top-quality services. The role of library leaders is to influence, take decisions, engage, motivate and utilize all their leadership skills in order to keep their libraries up to date in terms of technology developments and cutting-edge services, while meet users' expectations.
Change management, as a concept, requires both individuals and institutions to embrace change, by adopting successful change strategies and avoiding its risks. Institutions in general, and libraries in particular, need to re-organize and re-engineer, to develop workflows that engage successfully with inevitably increasing changes.
